Wetherby RUFC is a charitable organisation whose principal aim is the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the inhabitants of Wetherby and surrounding areas by the provision of facilities for playing rugby union. The Wetherby Beer Festival is being held to raise funds for Grange Park sports facilities in Wetherby. Grange Park is home to WRUFC, Wetherby Cricket Club, Wetherby Lawn Bowls and Kirk Deighton Jr Football Club. The Festival is being organised by the Wetherby Beer Festival Committee with volunteers from across the clubs.
