Event Dates

We're thrilled to announce that our 5th RJ7 instalment is now underway - we're heading to the “wings” of Lincolnshire, followed by a trip over the longest single span suspension bridge in the world (*when it was built in 1981!). So please, sign up to join us on this annual 2-day event in memory of Richard Jones. Once again, we will be raising funds for Phoenix Health and Wellbeing, who will provide the end-of-ride massages.

We will be departing from Wetherby RUFC at 07:30 on Friday 5th September (aim to arrive for 07:00 latest), via coach & van (for the bikes) heading to Lincoln. We will start our extravaganza visiting the world-famous Red Arrows at their base at RAF Waddington and then start our journey. We will be cycling c.75 miles through the Lincolnshire Wolds, out to the coast, culminating in a trip over the Humber Bridge. On Saturday we will return to Wetherby Rugby Club via a different route, staying on the north bank, aiming to arrive back at c.16:00, covering around 60-65miles. If 2-days sounds too much, you can opt for a single route (Friday or Saturday only), however, please note that you will need to arrange your own transport to/from (whichever is relevant).

Accommodation: it is up to the individual to book their own accommodation. Options are being worked up and will be sent out in due course/added here.

Please note, there will not be a children's ride this year.
