About Mr/Mrs/Mx Movimiento 2018
The Arizona Dream Act Coalition will host its first annual community pageant and leadership program for youth in the ages between 14-19 years old. Mr/Mrs/Mx Movimiento will be an opportunity for immigrant youth and young people of color to be part of a leadership program for 4 weeks in the areas of Storytelling, Communications, Advocacy, Policy, Higher Education, Professional Development, Fashion & Access to networking with local partners and resources.
All of these categories will be evaluated prior to the final day of the competition which will take place on September 02, 2018 - During the final night - participants will be competing in the categories of Best Community/campaign Idea, creative hometown costume & Final Questions.

The Arizona Dream Act Coalition its a non-profit youth led organization based in Phoenix, AZ that focuses on empowering and connecting immigrant youth to higher education resources, scholarships, economic opportunities and legal assistance. Our organization was built in the fight for education equity by standing against Prop 300 in 2006 and we became an official 501(c)(3) non profit organization in 2011. Over the past years and with constant political changes, we have lead and engage in other areas of work and campaigns including the lawsuit against the State of Arizona to allow dreamers to receive a driver's license, registered over 500 new voters during the 2016 elections to educate community members around immigrant issues and provided DACA application assistance to over 1200 dreamers since 2012.
