The annual Black Law Student Association GALA is a time for networking, acknowledging, and appreciating Black success. It is a time to gather as a community and celebrate our impact as a minority representation in the legal field. During this time, we commemorate another year of achievements for our organization, and pay our respects to our faculty, colleagues, and graduating members who have progressed BLSA’s mission throughout the year. We encourage all to attend: including our members, colleagues, alumni, faculty/staff, and other legal professionals.

Although the GALA has a storied history, this year is unique—we are presenting the first ever Champion of Diversity award. It will be given to one student, one faculty/staff member, and one legal professional who have exemplified efforts in diversity and inclusion initiatives. The event will run approximately three hours and will include a full course meal, open bar, and a keynote speaker.
