All Aboard! Learn about America’s transportation heritage through the use of hands-on activities, primary sources, vintage vehicles and artifacts from the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania’s world-class collection. 

The Railroad Museum is more than just a history museum. Our education programs satisfy specific academic standards not only in history, but also in math, science, language arts, geography, economics, and the arts, among other subjects. Our programs also encourage students not only to ask questions but also to use critical-thinking and problem-solving skills when thinking about how people in the past overcame challenges related to technology and transportation.

Admission for Insight PA students and One Learning Coach are free. Any other family members, including siblings not enrolled in Insight PA, will be required to pay admission charges of $9.00 per person. Payment for additional non-covered guest must be made directly to the venue on the day of the event.  Plan on arriving 15 to 25 minutes prior to our tour time in order to register with one of our staff members.

Please only register if you are 100% sure you are going to attend this event with us. We know that emergencies and illness happen, but in order for us to keep these events free of charge to our families, we need to be sure registered family attend. If registered attendance continues to be less than 50% we will need to charge a minimal fee or require a trip deposit.
