Max Stossel is an Award-winning poet, filmmaker, and speaker, named by Forbes as one of the best storytellers of the year. His one-man show “Words That Move” was selling out theaters all over NYC before COVID, and this is its first outdoor performance. Spanning across five continents, from Lincoln Center in NY to the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, Max’s performances have been described as mind-expanding, profound, and hilarious all at once. His work has been translated to fourteen languages, won multiple film festivals, and has been viewed over 20 million times online.

Kenji Herbert is a Brooklyn-based, Austrian-Japanese guitarist and composer. His characteristic sound drawing on diverse influences has made him a sought-after collaborator in New York City's creative music scene.

Lightning Sessions:
Andrei Matorin and Lightning Society invite you to an intimate rooftop gathering of creative expression. As a part of a renewed commitment to support our community and its individuals on their path to unrestrained self-expression, this evening aims to inspire us to discover what is possible when we nurture our passions and overcome our self-imposed limitations.

In our showcases, we aim to present artists who have mastered their craft through love and dedication and are ready to inspire others on their own personal, creative journeys.

Higher priced ticket options do not come with any added incentives other than knowing you are supporting your community!
