     History:

Speakeasies were created during the prohibition era (1920’s-1930’s). They were secret and illegal meeting places for people who wanted to drink. The term speakeasy comes from people in the early 20th century whispering quietly to one another about these illegal events(speakeasy). Often times performances were held during the events, making them more intimate.

Today, speakeasies are establishments where people can enjoy an intimate experience with food, non-alcoholic beverages, and entertainment.
These events are held at University of Tampa's Fletcher Lounge, on Fridays at 8 PM
Food and beverage are provided for a small additional charge.
Mask, Student ID, and Ticket are REQUIRED for entry.
