Founded in 1987, Yee Hong Community Wellness Foundation established Yee Centre for Geriatric Care in the early 1990s and has been raising funds for the Centre's development and operation for nearly four decades.
Since opening its first nursing home in 1994, Yee Hong Centre has grown into one of Canada's largest not-for-profit senior care providers, dedicated to helping seniors live with dignity by providing quality care and enhancing quality of life in every setting. Today, it operates four long-term care homes with a total of 805 long-term care beds, a 308-unit seniors' residence, and a 10-bed hospice. It also provides a wide range of community-based programs and services, serving over 15,000 seniors and families each year.
Supported by more than 1,500 staff and 700 volunteers, Yee Hong continues to meet the evolving needs of seniors through compassionate, culturally responsive care. it is also preparing to open its fifth long-term care home in early 2027, marking another important step forward in its mission to serve more seniors and families in the community.
